We are seeking a Recruiter to join the team! This person will play a key role in building the teams that power our mission. This position oversees the full recruiting lifecycle for a wide range of roles across the company, including Production, Marketing & Social Media, Editorial, Operations, and other critical departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment and is committed to identifying top talent that aligns with our culture, values, and creative vision.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Creates job descriptions, posts ads, sources candidates, and conducts phone screenings.
- Schedules and facilitates interviews, including final rounds with upper management.
- Performs reference checks, negotiates offers, and manages offer letters.
- Maintains timely communication with all applicants.
- Manages a high volume of requisitions and tracks all open and upcoming vacancies.
- Partners with hiring managers to understand needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
- Coaches managers on interviewing best practices and builds strong relationships with candidates and teams.
- Develops recruitment strategies and identifies process improvements; stays current on industry trends.
- Ensures a world‑class candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
- Prepares recruiting reports and data for supervisors and the Executive team.
- 3+ years of HR or communication experience as a recruiter or equivalent work experience.
- Interest in or familiarity with political and editorial news landscapes.
- Experience recruiting for entertainment/production roles is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of corporate recruiting practices.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and effective at multitasking in a fast‑paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Exercises sound judgment with a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
