Build, Lead, and Innovate
You’ll serve as the enterprise-wide leader of benefits strategy, implementation, and compliance. This is your chance to:
Strategy & Leadership- Design and implement benefit programs (healthcare, 401k, wellness, time off) that attract, retain, and engage employees.
- Own the end-to-end strategy and execution across 6 states and 23,000 employees.
- Align benefits offerings with broader talent strategies and business goals.
- Oversee vendor relationships:
carriers, brokers, TPAs, consultants
. - Leverage data to manage cost, assess plan effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement
. - Ensure year-over-year benefits competitiveness through innovation and analytics.
- Maintain full compliance with federal and state regulations
—including ACA, SOX, and M&A scenarios. - Lead the annual Open Enrollment cycle
, including all systems and communications. - Partner with Legal and Finance teams on risk, reporting, and audits.
You’ve led benefits strategy across a large, complex, multi-site organization. You’re data-savvy
, vendor-smart, and financially sharp. You thrive in fast-paced, high-change environments
. You’re both strategic and tactical—with a mindset for innovation, not maintenance
.
- 10+ years in HR or benefits leadership, ideally in hospital or multi-site healthcare systems
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or Accounting (CEBS or CBP preferred)
- Experience with M&A, SOX, ACA
, and vendor evaluations/RFPs - Advanced Excel skills +
ERP/HRIS tools (Lawson preferred) - Strong leadership presence, stakeholder communication, and execution under pressure
- Hospital-based or healthcare services experience
- Financial acumen and budgeting experience
- Able to start by July 1st and relocate if needed
- Known for building scalable systems that serve real people
