Overview
Therapy Office Assistant at NHC Place at the Trace is looking for a Therapy Office Assistant to join our team. The Therapy Office Assistant is responsible for performing designated tasks related to the operation of the therapy services in a fast-paced therapy department.
Responsibilities- Therapy entrance reception: answer phones, greet customers, answer questions.
- Outpatient therapy program management: insurance authorization and verification, scheduling, chart management, order verification, insurance appeals/denials and more.
- Therapy payroll: ensure all therapy partner time is complete and accurate.
- Attendance at weekly meetings to ensure patient information is current and communicated with multidisciplinary team for ongoing patient care.
- Human Resources for Therapy partners: onboarding of new partners, personnel file maintenance, EHR training, licensure verification.
- Report reviews:
Review weekly and monthly reports to ensure accurate and complete documentation. - Durable Medical Equipment ordering and tracking.
- IT support for the therapy department.
- Other duties to ensure ongoing compliance and workflow for the therapy team.
- Experience in a healthcare setting or medical office administration is preferred.
- Knowledge or skills in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
- Good time management.
- Works well in a team environment.
