Overview
Position is hybrid. Tennessee residents preferred. The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a Communication Specialist for the Tobacco Prevention & Control, Tennessee Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Education and Support (TCAPES), and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) Surveillance programs. This role will lead content creation and community engagement initiatives and drive impactful communication plans aligned with program goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and skilled in dynamic communication.
Responsibilities- Lead content creation and community engagement initiatives for the Tobacco Prevention & Control, TCAPES, and NAS Surveillance programs.
- Drive impactful communication plans aligned with program goals.
- Support hybrid work arrangements and coordination with program teams.
Position requires travel (expenses paid) to the TNSTRONG Summit which happens once per year and may include some working hours outside of the traditional 8-4:30 schedule.
