Job SummaryLeads the pharmacy team in the coordination, monitoring, and supervision of pharmacy services. This includes human resources, medication systems and pharmaceutical care to ensure the provision of quality patient-focused care that meets all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Plans and develops customer-focused pharmacy systems and services for specific area to meet the changing needs of the medical enterprise. Works with administrative team and staff to constantly innovate the method for delivery of quality cost-effective pharmacy services.
Manages and develops staff members to ensure competency and growth of staff. Manages budget including volumes, drug & personnel expense for a specific area.
- This position supports the ED, ICU, and Clinical Pharmacists on evening and night shifts.
- Day shift hours.
- The ideal candidate has a Pharm
D, a completed PGY2 residency in either critical care or emergency medicine and previous leadership experience. - In addition, resident precepting/program leadership experience, epic experience, and quality improvement training/experience are a plus.
- Coordinates, monitors, and manages pharmacy operations while maintaining all safety and compliance regulations.
- Effectively coordinates departmental resources and actively participates in stewardship and cost control initiatives.
- Effectively manages human resources and creates an environment that enhances morale and facilitates teamwork.
- Manages pharmacy systems and operations to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Ensures the delivery of outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
