We are hiring for: Home Manager / Mon-Fri 3p-11p / Thompson Station

Supervises and coordinates activities of Direct Support employees and manages operations, staffing and budget of 1-3 ICF/IDD facility/facilities assigned. Seek to understand the individuals in the context of their personal history, their social and family networks, and their hopes and dreams for the future. Ensures that people supported have a clean and maintained home and yard. Typically reports to the Administrator of a location or a Qualified Professional.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with clinical and professional healthcare staff to maintain communication and provide feedback, standardizing procedures, and expediting the implementation of person-centered plans
  • Spending adequate amounts of time in the residential facility monitoring and providing feedback to staff on all three shifts in interactions and relationships with people supported, maintaining harmony between employees and clients while serving as a positive role model
  • Resolving employee issues and conducting performance reviews
  • Ensuring that employees meet training requirements and attend required events
  • Monitoring select budget items and staying within guidelines
  • Monitoring and providing feedback to employees during all three shifts in interactions and relationships with the people supported
  • Providing after-hours and on-call coverage as part of the direct care rotation
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; college courses in Human Services, Social Work or Management preferred
  • 1 year of experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license and automotive insurance
  • Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
  • Ability to lift between 20 and 50 lbs. and provide CPR after certification
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • CPR, first aid, NCI and/or Med Tech certification preferred

  • Name checked in registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities)
  • Drug testing
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required)
  • If driving is required for the position, provide proof of driver’s license, driver’s insurance, and vehicle
