Job Summary:
The Sonographer is responsible for using diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various medical conditions. Sonography, or ultrasonography, is the use of sound waves to generate images for assessment and diagnosis. The role may involve specialization in obstetric/gynecologic, abdominal, neurosonography, or breast sonography.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient's medical history and physician's instructions.
- Prepares equipment for procedures and selects appropriate settings.
- Explains procedures to patients and records relevant medical history.
- Applies gel and operates ultrasound equipment to capture images.
- Analyzes images, takes measurements, and prepares preliminary reports for physicians.
- Maintains patient records and equipment, and ensures safety and confidentiality.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Certifications: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Certification or equivalent.
Work Experience: Relevant work experience, typically 1 year.
Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
