Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist with strong embedding and microtomy skills to support a high‑volume histology laboratory. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and handling small tissue specimens and biopsies in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform paraffin embedding of tissue specimens with high accuracy
- Perform microtomy, including cutting small tissues and biopsies
- Maintain productivity standards (approximately 35 blocks/hour embedding and 35 slides/hour cutting)
- Ensure proper specimen handling and labeling
- Follow laboratory SOPs, quality control, and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the histology lab
- Strong embedding experience (mandatory)
- Strong microtomy experience (mandatory)
- Minimum 5+ years of histology experience preferred
- Ability to work independently on 3rd shift
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred
- HT or ASCP certification preferred
- Competitive pay at $36.69/hour
