RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week

• Work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

• Patient ratio of 6:1

• Float assignments may be required, with contract labor being first to float

• Tech support available on day and night shifts

• Unit secretary coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Required to wear navy scrubs (tops and bottoms)

• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology

• Use Meditech documentation system

• Must have Med/Surg experience and ability to prioritize care and multitask

• Skills required include starting IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

• Active RN license and BLS certification required

• Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care with bedside shift reports

• Must be able to make personal connections with patients and include family members in plan of care
