Job Title: Recovery House Apartment Manager

Reports to: PSH Sober Living Program Manager

Non-Exempt/Wages: $14.42 per hour for 20 hours per week.
Free employer-housing provided.

To work with residents of the Recovery House to maintain a sober, recovery-oriented environment, and to ensure the needs of the residents are being met.

• Value cultural competence and diversity:
  Collaborate with staff, members, and the community to gain the perspectives of others having diverse opinions, abilities, values, beliefs, perspective, and ethnic or cultural backgrounds.
• Take deliberate steps to increase own cultural competency by attending training, events, discussions, workshops, etc.
• Member Support Duties:
  Maintain systems of mutual support and accountability established by program leadership in collaboration with the residents.
• Facilitate regular house meetings to discuss recovery and sobriety, interpersonal issues, housekeeping, etc.
• Monitor participation in program activities and attendance of external meetings (e.g., 12-step meetings).
• In both one-on-one and group settings, offer peer support and accountability, as well as encouragement to overcome obstacles and follow through with commitments.
• Build trust and community among residents through regular activities such as house meals and projects.
• Regularly solicit member feedback to respond to the changing needs of individual members over time.
• Ensure the house is safe, clean, and functional, including all common areas and individual rooms.
• Facilitate a chore rotation.
• Coordinating with Property Management.
• Hiring housekeeping services as needed.
• Support the Program Manager and Recovery Support Coordinator.
• Be available after hours to assist members who are struggling with their sobriety in crisis situations.
• Must be available to all residents in case of emergency, particularly overnight and on weekends.
• Maintain positive relations with neighbors and the surrounding community.
• Ensure secure storage of resident medication and facilitate access regularly and as needed.
• Public/Staff Relations:
  Communicate with internal and external partners utilizing telephone, email, and chat.
• Communicate regularly with the Permanent Supportive Housing team to meet the needs of residents.
• Develop effective working relationships with human services organizations.
• Other duties as a member of the PSH Sober Living team:
  Attend all staff and supervision meetings; maintain good attendance and inform supervisor in advance of time off; complete Relias Learning courses by deadline; follow all Personnel Policies and uphold Park Center’s Code of Ethics; perform all other duties assigned.

• Must identify as a person in recovery from mental illness, addiction, or both.
• Must be certified by Tennessee as a Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) or be willing to obtain that credential within 6 months of hire.
• Able to demonstrate strong understanding of and commitment to sobriety, peer support principles, and ethical behaviors.
• Must have proven written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Must be able to show proof of personal automobile insurance.

• Able to operate with many distractions.
• Routine office environment.
• Able/willing to use vehicle to transport members.
• Able/willing to operate a large van/bus to transport clients.

• The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.
• The ability to navigate stairs and uneven terrain.
• The ability to operate with many distractions.
• The ability to use a vehicle to travel to different sites.
