RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

• Must work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4 week schedule

• 20-bed unit with 6:1 patient ratio

• Tech support available on day and night shifts

• Unit secretary available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

• Required to float as contract labor (first to float policy)

• Work with equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCD's, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology

• Use Meditech documentation system

• Must provide bedside shift reports and compassionate patient care

Required skills:

Med/Surg experience, ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes

• Required certifications:
Active RN license, BLS, ACLS

• Dress code requires navy scrubs, tops and bottoms

• Must include patients and family members in plan of care and make personal connections
