RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 31-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity and staffing

• Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule with 4-week scheduling increments

• Self-scheduling available to an extent with manager balancing schedule as needed

• Contract labor is first to float, expected to float to medical/surgical units when staffing needs arise

• Work with advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000

• Document using Meditech system

• Unit staffed with secretary during dayshift and occasional nurse extern working as tech

• Assist with procedures including insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions

• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS

• Active RN license and ICU experience required

• Dress code:
Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms

• Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
