- Perform routine patient check-in procedures, including patient work-ups and new patient history.
- Approve prescriptions and communicate with pharmacies at direction of physicians.
- Assist in maintaining general medical records.
- Schedule patient appointments and other procedures in the computer as needed.
- Schedule outpatient x-rays and tests as needed.
- Collect specimens for laboratory analysis, as applicable.
- Obtain, verify, and record health information.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous M.D. office experience or clinical work.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant required.
- Maintain current licensure and BLS certification.
- Maturity, empathy, and patience.
- Be special – Not everyone can do what we do.
- The ideal candidate must have the ability to adjust to a fast-paced environment and follow proper protocols.
