Job Summary

The radiation therapist is an integral part of the radiation oncology treatment team. This person is responsible for the accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments to patients and simulations for patient treatments under the direction of a radiation oncologist. The therapist must have a thorough understanding of the rationale for radiation therapy as well as skills in patient assessment and interpersonal communication.

PRN | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM | No weekends or on-call

The Lebanon location provides comprehensive cancer services in a modern, patient-focused setting, offering:

Responsibilities
  • Deliver external beam radiation therapy using the Varian Ethos platform
  • Perform CT simulations and brachytherapy simulations according to protocol
  • Document treatments accurately in Aria and Epic EMR systems
  • Work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other care team members
  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful, and patient-focused environment
Qualifications
  • ARRT Certification (required)
  • BLS Certification (required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and team-oriented

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administers daily radiation therapy treatments to patients assigned to the treatment unit, accurately and efficiently, at a speed consistent with patient scheduling for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
