C-Pod ED 20

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

The environment in the C‑POD Adult Emergency Stepdown Unit is friendly, focused on teamwork, and flexible to accommodate our patients’ needs. We care for adult patients 18 or older who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses. Our unit is unique because we have a blended emergency department and inpatient stepdown care delivery model. Our patient population encompasses a variety of diagnoses and levels of care.

• Full‑Time Night Shift – 6:45 pm – 7:15 am (three 12‑hour shifts/week)
• Shifts rotate throughout the week
• Note:
  
  Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs.
• All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience) AND one of the following:
• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
