The Certified Central Sterile Technician is responsible for proper decontamination, cleaning, assembly, sterilization and storage of instrumentation for surgery and outside departments.

• You will prepare instruments and supplies through cleaning, packing, sterilizing, and storing procedures.
• You will understand the principles of sterilization techniques and operate sterilization equipment.
• You will assemble all instruments, trays, and drill trays for operating rooms according to policies and procedures.
• You will perform equipment distribution and routing cleaning and maintenance.
• You will perform crash cart restocking/exchange.
• You will follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

• Certified Central Sterile Technician (CST), Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or Certified Surgical Technician, or similar certification.
