Full‑Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Evaluates, treats and counsels patients with hearing disorders to improve communication function through the use of cochlear implants. Initiates collaboration with the health‑care team to meet patient‑care, outcomes and system‑improvement objectives.

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic audio logic evaluations
• Complete cochlear implant candidacy assessments and pre‑operative evaluations
• Perform device activation (“switch‑on”), programming, mapping, and long‑term follow‑up care
• Troubleshoot CI devices, accessories, and assistive technologies
• Provide counseling, rehabilitation guidance, and education to patients and families
• Deliver general audiology services
• Maintain detailed documentation and clinical outcome tracking
• Collaborate with otologists, SLPs, educators, and multidisciplinary teams
• Support the education and training of AuD students and residents in Vanderbilt’s top‑ranked academic environment

• Doctor of Audiology (AuD)
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC‑A)
• Eligibility for Tennessee audiology licensure
• Demonstrated experience in cochlear implant evaluation and programming

• One year of cochlear implant clinical experience (adult and/or pediatric)
• Experience with Cochlear, MED‑EL, and Advanced Bionics
• Strong patient‑facing communication and counseling skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
