* Job Summary:

** Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. * * Night shift position with a minimum weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 6-week schedule.

** Become part of a dynamic and supportive team on 8 MCE, a 40-bed Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) caring for adult patients with complex and high-acuity cardiovascular conditions. This fast-paced environment provides specialized stepdown care for patients transitioning from critical care or recovering from major cardiac and vascular events.
** Patient Population Includes**:
* Acute and Chronic Heart Failure
* Post–Myocardial Infarction
* Arrhythmias, EP procedures, and post-ablation care
* Pre- and Post-Operative Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeries
* Advanced hemodynamic monitoring and titratable drips (unit-dependent)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
* Analyzes comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.
* Continually utilizes the nursing process to evaluate patient's progress towards goals and applies appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.
* Employs strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
