• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients throughout trauma center and various settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy options.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure top tier psychiatric care for residents.
• Prescribe and administer psychiatric medications as necessary.
• Conduct daily rounds in designated hospital, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Respond promptly to consult requests from the Emergency Department and Inpatient units, offering expert psychiatric assessments and recommendations.
• Monitor and adjust medication regimens to optimize effectiveness and minimize side effects.
• Implement therapeutic techniques to address a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
• Offer education and support to residents and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Promote mental health awareness and wellness among residents.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance mental health care services within the facility.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
• Participate in one weekend shift per month and additional on‑call shifts as needed, providing emergency psychiatric care and consultation.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of TN.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC).
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a PMHNP, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
• Active and unrestricted DEA license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners maintain clinical competency & collaboration with Psychiatrist.
