Job Summary:
Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

About the DepartmentWe care for adult patients 18 and older who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses. These diagnoses cover a wide range of disease processes including pulmonary, renal, hepatology, endocrine, and post-procedural patients. Some of our patient population requires knowledge of home vents, wound care, as well as care of patients on some continuous medication drips, including insulin.
Your Schedule- Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 pm - 7:15 am (three 12-hour shifts/week)
- Shifts rotate throughout the week
- Note:
Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs. - All Employees (Night shift & PRN included) are required to attend hospital orientation during regular daytime hours during the first week of employment.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
AND one of the following:
- Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or
- Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or
- Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.
- One year of previous experience in a hospital setting

- CLINICAL COMPETENCIES (Novice):
Demonstrates competence with interventions (such as point of care testing, vital signs, etc.) in practical applications of moderate difficulty. - CARE PARTNER PATIENT DOCUMENTATION (Novice):
Independently works with clinical applications for patient documentation.
- ENVIRONMENT OF CARE (Novice):
