Organization: Occup Therapy Outpat

Job Summary: Provides occupational therapy services to patients who have impairments, developmental disabilities, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease or other causes under occasional guidance. Actively collaborates with the health care/educational team to meet patient care, outcomes and system improvement objectives.

Location: Nashville, TN
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Business Hours | No Holidays
Caseload: One patient per hour for focused, quality care

Join Vanderbilt Health's collaborative therapy team, providing specialized care for pediatric patients!

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist--ideally Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)--to deliver high-quality therapy for children with upper extremity conditions.

This role involves splint fabrication after surgery, developing home programs, and creating individualized treatment plans. You'll work in a team-based environment with physicians, therapists, and other specialists.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
• Provide splinting and post-operative care for pediatric patients
• Educate families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve functional outcomes
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across outpatient clinics (and occasionally hospital settings)
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Vanderbilt Health and regulatory standards

Required:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in Tennessee (or eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience

Preferred:

• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
• Experience in pediatric hand therapy, splinting, and post-operative care
• Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Pediatric specialty certifications (e.g., SIPT, NDT, EI training)
