** About the Role
** We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist—ideally Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)—to deliver high-quality therapy for children with upper extremity conditions.

This role involves splint fabrication after surgery, developing home programs, and creating individualized treatment plans. You’ll work in a team-based environment with physicians, therapists, and other specialists.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Perform comprehensive evaluations and create individualized treatment plans
* Provide splinting and post-operative care for pediatric patients
* Educate families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
* Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve functional outcomes
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across outpatient clinics (and occasionally hospital settings)
* Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Vanderbilt Health and regulatory standards
** Qualifications
* **
* Required:

*** Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license in Tennessee (or eligibility)
* Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience
** Preferred:
*** Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
* Experience in pediatric hand therapy, splinting, and post-operative care
* Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
* Pediatric specialty certifications (e.g., SIPT, NDT, EI training)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  
• Analyzes comprehensive information from formal and informal assessment that is pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine a rehabilitation treatment diagnosis.  
• Collaborates with stakeholders in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the rehabilitation continuum.  
• Applies appropriate, evidence-based interventions to ensure effective outcomes and re-evaluates performance to assess patient's progress towards goals.  
• Employs strategies to promote successful return to home, community, and school/vocational environments.
