Position: X-Ray Technologist

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) is the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Tennessee, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries.

As an X-Ray Technologist, you will assist physicians by performing high quality radiographic procedures, maintaining a safe and clean workspace, and protecting patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.

Responsibilities
  • Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
  • Work in a fast‑paced environment while producing quality radiographs.
  • Lift and transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Reduce patient anxiety by providing clear explanations and answering questions.
  • Prepare patients for radiographic procedures, including proper dressing, positioning, and equipment adjustments.
  • Minimize radiation exposure by using beam‑restrictive devices, patient shielding, and appropriate exposure controls.
Qualifications and Experience
  • ARRT certified.
  • Prior orthopedic X‑ray experience preferred.
  • C‑Arm experience a plus.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology required.
  • State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operator’s license required.
Travel Requirements
  • Must be willing to float to other TOA locations when needed.
