Job SummaryEvaluates and treats patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re) habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educates and counsels patients and families. Provides independent therapeutic services and identify area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervises graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participates actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborates with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives.

Are you a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) looking for flexible hours in a nationally ranked children’s hospital? Vanderbilt Health is seeking a PRN Pediatric SLP to support our outpatient and inpatient pediatric rehab services.
This is a great opportunity for clinicians who specialize in feeding and swallowing therapy, speech-language development, and video-fluoroscopic swallow studies.

We're seeking a PRN Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide hospital-based therapy for children from birth through adolescence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide speech-language evaluations and therapy for pediatric patients.
- Support children with complex medical needs (e.g., dysphagia, tracheostomy, traumatic brain injury).
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PTs, OTs, physicians, and nurses.
- Conduct feeding/swallowing assessments and video-fluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS).
- Document patient progress and outcomes using EMR systems.
- Assist with discharge planning.
- Educate families and caregivers on therapy plans and progress.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (from an accredited program).
- Tennessee SLP License (or eligibility).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Pediatric feeding/swallowing experience - required.
- Experience in a children’s hospital setting - preferred
