• Scrub for surgical procedures and demonstrate competence as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures.
• Support the organization’s philosophy, objectives, and goals.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Serve orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, pain management, and podiatry specialties.

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to a changing patient condition.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage patients, and coordinate with physicians.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
