Job Description

As the Director of Investments, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, implementing, and monitoring investment portfolios for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that our portfolios are aligned with the firm’s objectives and that they perform effectively across various market conditions. In addition, you will collaborate with our advisory team to provide ongoing support, deliver in-depth security analysis, and assist with investment-related decisions, particularly at the point of sale.

You will also have the opportunity to engage directly with our clients through a quarterly webinar, where you will share your insights and discuss market outlooks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Design & Management: Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring of client portfolios to ensure optimal performance and risk management.
  • Portfolio Trading: Implement the portfolios by trading on Charles Schwab’s iRebal.
  • Market Analysis: Perform in-depth security analysis, providing actionable insights to guide investment decisions and assist in portfolio construction.
  • Advisor Support: Provide expert investment advice and support to our financial advisors to help them deliver tailored investment solutions to clients.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct quarterly client webinars to discuss market trends, portfolio performance, and the firm’s investment outlook.
  • Point of Sale Assistance: Provide input and assistance at the point of sale, helping advisors present investment solutions and answer client questions.
  • Reporting & Monitoring: Regularly review portfolio performance, track key metrics, and make necessary adjustments to ensure alignment with client goals.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CFA, CFP, or MBA are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in investment management, portfolio construction, or related fields.
  • Strong experience with financial markets, securities analysis, and asset allocation strategies.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and monitor portfolios across asset classes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex investment concepts clearly and effectively to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience hosting webinars or similar client-facing events is a plus.
  • Proficiency in investment management software and financial modeling tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and client-focused service.
  • Preference for candidates located in the Nashville, TN area, but open to remote arrangements for the right candidate.
