Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Payroll Tax Specialist with experience using UKG software. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll tax calculations, timely tax filings, and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure payroll tax compliance for all jurisdictions where the company operates.
• Prepare and submit federal, state, and local payroll tax returns.
• Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and ensure timely remittance of tax payments.
• Manage and maintain employee tax data within the UKG system.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and update internal processes accordingly.
• Respond to tax notices and coordinate resolution with government agencies.
• Audit payroll tax data regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external auditors to support reporting and compliance activities.
• Maintain and generate payroll tax reports using UKG Pro Reporting / BI tools.
• Assist in year-end processes, including W-2, W-4, and other tax-related filings.

Qualifications:

Required:

• 3+ years of payroll tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in payroll reporting and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Preferred:

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
• Experience working in a multi-state or multi-entity environment.
• Hands-on experience with UKG Pro (formerly Ulti Pro) or other UKG platforms.
