Grants Financial Analyst

This position is responsible for preparing governmental and private reports and billings, monitoring and approving expenditures on assigned accounts, preparing financial status reports, and inputting journal entries into the financial record system. The analyst maintains communication with principal investigators, administrative staff, and funding agencies, and assists in the preparation of information for the annual audit.

• Maintain budgets and handle monthly/quarterly billings of assigned accounts.
• Review and process requisitions, travel expense reports, and disbursement requests, ensuring budget compliance.
• Prepare federal financial status reports or state Policy 07 reports.
• Post restricted line item budgets, journal entries, and other financial data into the Workday system.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned.

• Problem resolution skills.
• Proficiency in office procedures and PC applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret basic accounting reports including expenses and budgets.
• Customer service skills and ability to work effectively in team projects.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least two years of relevant work experience preferred.
