With a focus on underserved markets, Breakaway is bringing a premium 2-day EDM/Pop festival experience with an always-changing lineup of top artists to where consumers live, work, and play.
The RoleWe are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in managing accounts payable, supporting financial statement preparation, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role will work closely with our Controller and finance team to ensure smooth financial operations across all festival markets.
Responsibilities- Manage Accounts Payable for artists, vendors, and employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments
- Assist in month-end close procedures, including journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow statements
- Maintain and reconcile expense management systems (Ramp, Expensify, artist payments)
- Assist in festival settlement close processes, ensuring financial accuracy post-event
- Contribute to cash flow forecasting and general ledger maintenance
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience with expense management systems and accounting software
- Strong foundation in Accounts Payable, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct and Ramp
- Experience working in live events, entertainment, or festival finance is a plus
