Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

We are working with a fast-growing, multi-unit consumer services platform operating across a large national footprint. This role will lead accounting and financial close for a high-volume, multi-location business with recurring revenue, unit-level reporting, and real estate driven economics.

The Controller will own day-to-day accounting, close, and controls while partnering closely with executive leadership on visibility, accuracy, and scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Own full cycle accounting across dozens to hundreds of locations
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close with strict timelines
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, payroll, and revenue recognition
• Manage unit-level P&Ls and location based reporting
• Ensure accurate accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasts, and variance analysis
• Support audit, tax, and external advisors
• Strengthen internal controls as the business scales
• Improve processes, systems, and documentation across accounting
• Lead and develop an internal accounting team

Experience & Background

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred
• Strong multi-unit or multi-location background required
• Experience in franchise, retail, real estate, hospitality, or services highly preferred
• Hands-on leader comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
• Experience managing close in a high transaction volume business

Technical Requirements

• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Advanced experience with multi-entity consolidations
• Comfortable with location level reporting and rollups
• Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms
• Advanced Excel skills required
• CPA preferred but not required
