Our mission is to help creators protect their wealth so they can focus on their craft, and we are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in our Nashville office.

What

You’ll Do
  • Tax Preparation: Work closely with the Managing Director and Financial Operations Lead to prepare complex federal and state individual, corporate (S‑Corp/C‑Corp), and partnership (LLC) tax returns.
  • Multi‑State Nexus: Manage the "jock tax" and multi‑state filing requirements for touring clients performing in dozens of jurisdictions.
  • Tax Planning: Assist the Managing Director and the Financial Operations Lead in year‑end tax projections and estimated payment strategies for entertainers and high‑net‑worth individuals.
  • IRS Correspondence: Draft responses to federal and state notices and assist with audit representation if necessary.

    Incentives:

    Analyze royalty statements and ensure clients are maximizing industry‑specific deductions (e.g., equipment depreciation, travel, and home studio expenses).
Required Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of public accounting experience (tax‑focused).
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred (or actively pursuing).
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, Lacerte, or Ultra Tax) and Quick Books Online.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • Familiarity with the unique financial lifecycle of touring and recording artists.
  • Ability to explain complex tax concepts to non‑financial creatives in a clear, relatable way.
  • Absolute commitment to client confidentiality and handling sensitive data for high‑profile figures.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently to resolve problems.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker.
  • Passion for music is a massive plus.
