The Staff Accountant will support the Vice President of Finance by managing day-to-day accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting support, vendor management, and assisting with tax-related filings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable handling multiple accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and payment processing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and coordination with external tax advisors or CPAs
  • Manage vendor relationships, including setup, documentation, and payment inquiries
  • Prepare financial models for investor communications
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking as needed
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist with audits and financial reviews
  • Perform other bookkeeping and accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ accounting experience at a “Big Four” firm preferred
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with Quick Books and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with finance leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience supporting senior finance leadership or working in a growing organization
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or multi-location accounting environments
