Who You’ll Work With: Are you passionate about financial markets and ready to play a pivotal role in the valuation of complex derivatives? Join our dynamic Pricing & Valuations Team as a Derivative Valuations Analyst at Alliance Bernstein located in Nashville, TN, where your expertise will directly support our investment process and drive innovation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Execute and oversee daily derivative pricing processes, ensuring timely and accurate valuations for internal systems and custodians.
- Validate automated pricing across all derivative products, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies or exceptions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for valuation inquiries, providing clear, professional responses to both internal stakeholders (Operations, Risk, Front Office, Audit) and external partners (Vendors, Custodians, External clients).
- Collaborate with IT, Portfolio Managers, and external vendors to enhance pricing applications and processes, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
- Implement and refine internal controls and standards to maintain the highest levels of pricing accuracy and compliance.
- Stay ahead of market and regulatory developments, adapting processes to reflect changes impacting derivative valuations.
- Identify and integrate reliable, cost-effective secondary pricing sources to strengthen quality control.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are must-have qualities for this position.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with VBA or Python is highly desirable.
- less than 2 years of hands-on experience with derivatives in operations or pricing is a plus.
- Experience with Bloomberg and Calypso is a strong plus.
