EY Private Tax is a growing practice focusing on privately held companies and their owners and families. The team serves high-growth private companies from start-ups to multi-billion-dollar global private enterprises. You will be part of a global team, acting as a key point of contact for clients and colleagues, with opportunities for cross-border and cross-functional collaboration. EY supports your development in technical tax knowledge, leadership, and business acumen.

• Researching tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies
• Translating complex data into client-ready insights and deliverables
• Building long-term relationships with clients to provide tailored service
• Communicating complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
• Maintaining and sharing technical knowledge to uphold professional standards
• Managing, coaching and developing a team of tax professionals, and reviewing work to ensure quality and commercial value
• Identifying risks and opportunities to improve services and processes

• We’re interested in tax professionals with a genuine interest in providing outstanding services to high-profile individuals and their families, serving as trusted advisors to clients and colleagues

• A bachelor’s degree in a related field, with significant tax, business, or financial planning experience
• A CPA certification or bar membership
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organizations
• Experience with federal and state personal and trust taxation
• Experience with flow-through entities (S-Corps, Partnerships, LLCs)
• Understanding of automated tax processing systems
• Experience with Gift, Estate and Trust tax planning and compliance is a plus
• Commitment to continuing learning
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the ability to challenge senior colleagues and stakeholders
• Willingness to travel as needed; ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to adapt work style to collaborate with internal and client teams
