A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its growing team in Nashville, Tennessee
. The firm provides a broad range of consulting services across civil, environmental, structural, and infrastructure projects throughout the southeastern United States and has earned recognition as a Best Place to Work in the region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of stormwater and water resources infrastructure projects, supporting both public and private sector clients while collaborating with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop construction plans for stormwater capital improvement projects
    , including drainage rehabilitation, flood control structures, and canal systems
  • Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality analyses for open channel and closed conduit stormwater systems
  • Prepare engineering reports, contract documents, cost estimates, and quantity take-offs
  • Design stormwater best management practices (BMPs) to meet permitting and regulatory requirements, including low impact development and stormwater volume control solutions
  • Support preparation of regulatory permit applications and supporting documentation
  • Develop 1D and 2D hydrologic and hydraulic models and assist with FEMA-related submissions such as CLOMR/LOMR applications and drainage studies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 6+ year s of engineering experience, including at least 5 years focused on hydrology and hydraulic design/analysis
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months
  • Experience with modelling and design tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, ArcGIS/Arc Map, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, client-focused environment
