Job Description: We welcome rising college sophomores, juniors, and seniors to apply to be a summer intern  interns are embedded into our teams and get the opportunity to work on real projects under the supervision and education of our experienced engineers.

Job Duties:

• Work with licensed engineers to develop skills and knowledge
• Do photometrics and work with the software for preliminary lighting layouts.
• Encouraged to try to solve engineering problems using their education.
• Lay out equipment in spaces to meet project needs (lighting, fire alarm, and receptacles, etc.)
• Work with mechanical engineers to pick up power for their equipment.
• Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plan, construction schedules, studies, permits, and designs for assigned projects.
• Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
• Operates engineering software to solve specific problems, and inputs the data required by the program.
• Familiarize themselves with state-of-the-art design and various state and local regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
• Accepts direction and supervision well
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication

Some college or better in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or Mechatronics
