Field Service Technician Intern

As a Technical Services Intern with Schneider Electric in Nashville, TN, you’ll step into the world of intelligent buildings, energy‑efficient systems, and cutting‑edge automation technologies. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, field technicians, and project teams to support real customer sites—including universities, healthcare facilities, corporate campuses, and mission‑critical environments.

This hands‑on internship gives you exposure to troubleshooting, system diagnostics, commissioning tasks, digital service delivery, and the technologies advancing sustainability across the built environment.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair customer building automation and energy‑management systems.
• Assist with system commissioning, preventative maintenance, and warranty services.
• Coordinate activities with customers and internal project teams.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation with mentor guidance.
• Support basic system programming, software updates, and equipment startup activities.
• Suggest system improvements, optimizations, and modifications that enhance performance.

• Enrolled in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Interest in HVAC, building automation, or energy management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; exposure to programming or controls is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Organized, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Valid driver’s license.
