Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Lead - Advanced Manufacturing

Jacobs seeks an experienced VDC Lead to manage digital delivery processes in the Advanced Manufacturing sector. This site-based role with flexible home office location offers leadership in BIM execution, clash detection, laser scan integration, and digital construction best practices.

• Lead VDC/BIM digital delivery management, aligning technologies with internal and client goals.
• Create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for EPCM projects.
• Integrate VDC tasks including 3D logistics, 4D scheduling, 5D cost and quantity take-offs.
• Administer the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud) from design to construction.
• Manage clash detection for design teams and trade partners; lead clash resolution meetings.
• Serve as BIM Subject Matter Expert on projects in design and construction.
• Coordinate laser scan data integration and facilitate Scan to BIM efforts; manage model redline and as-built processes.
• Lead mobile device training for field employees; facilitate reality capture for remote team members.
• Act as technology lead and support field technical troubleshooting and software support.

• At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Revizto) and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven track record of onsite leadership of VDC activities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment on a project site and virtually.
• Experience in developing and implementing BIM execution plans.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems.
