We’re looking for a Senior Controls Engineer who can lead from the front — driving technical excellence, mentoring engineers, and delivering world-class automation solutions in a fast-paced environment.

🚀 What You’ll Own
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controls engineers
  • Drive technical excellence across multiple concurrent automation projects
  • Design and deliver robust control systems that meet customer and project requirements
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle
  • Balance staffing, workload, schedules, budgets, and quality targets
  • Serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor within the department
  • Identify systemic challenges and implement process improvements
  • Partner with leadership to strengthen engineering capability and performance

You won’t just manage projects — you’ll shape how they’re delivered.

🔧 What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • (Equivalent experience considered — 2 years of work per year of study)
  • OR Associate’s degree + 2+ years related experience
  • 10+ years of controls/automation experience
  • (Automotive experience — Ford or GM — highly desirable)
  • 2+ years leading technical projects or teams
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of automation systems and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and elevate team performance
  • Confidence presenting to peers, customers, and leadership
  • A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive measurable improvements
  • Up to 25% travel to customer sites and other company locations
  • Automation industry experience strongly preferred
  • Onsite role based in Nashville, TN
