We’re looking for a Senior Controls Engineer who can lead from the front — driving technical excellence, mentoring engineers, and delivering world-class automation solutions in a fast-paced environment.

🚀 What You’ll Own- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of controls engineers
- Drive technical excellence across multiple concurrent automation projects
- Design and deliver robust control systems that meet customer and project requirements
- Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle
- Balance staffing, workload, schedules, budgets, and quality targets
- Serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor within the department
- Identify systemic challenges and implement process improvements
- Partner with leadership to strengthen engineering capability and performance
You won’t just manage projects — you’ll shape how they’re delivered.
🔧 What You Bring- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
- (Equivalent experience considered — 2 years of work per year of study)
- OR Associate’s degree + 2+ years related experience
- 10+ years of controls/automation experience
- (Automotive experience — Ford or GM — highly desirable)
- 2+ years leading technical projects or teams
- Strong hands-on knowledge of automation systems and industry best practices
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and elevate team performance
- Confidence presenting to peers, customers, and leadership
- A solutions-focused mindset with the ability to drive measurable improvements
- Up to 25% travel to customer sites and other company locations
- Automation industry experience strongly preferred
- Onsite role based in Nashville, TN
