Position Summary:
Commercial Project Engineer III (AV, broadcast, or media systems)

The Commercial Project Engineer III is the technical expert to the Tech Ops and Sales team through the lifecycle of a project or projects and will be the leader of a team of SMEs on large scale deployments that may span traditional AV, broadcast, and media components. They are responsible to ensure a project is executed with excellence as well as meets all design requirements laid out in the scope of work.

This is done through comprehensive design review, bill of materials accuracy review and augmentation, scope of work review and refinement, as well as executing detailed project documentation. This is a leadership and technical position.

Responsibilities

  • Be the technical Liaison for the Tech Ops and Sales team on large scale projects.
  • Interface & maintain ongoing dialogue for projects with Clients, Sales, CAD, Associate Engineers and SMEs, and Tech Ops team members
  • Ensure well executed system installation through detailed documentation packages, including but not limited to:
    • AutoCAD drawings
    • IP and network documentation
    • Change order and RFI documentation and scopes of work
  • Identify all cabling and miscellaneous material needs
  • Direct technical teams on installation challenges
  • Project manager liaison for engineering inquiries
  • Assist and perform ongoing technical assessment, and support for tech ops during integration, install, & commissioning
  • Meet with vendors/prospective vendors to help evaluate products
  • Other duties assigned as needed

To join our band, you'll need the following experience:

  • CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in AV, broadcast, or large venue systems design
  • Formal education in engineering or related field preferred
  • A thorough, demonstrable understanding of systems integration techniques
  • Skilled in the use of Computer aided drafting software
  • MS Office – able to use Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access proficiently without training

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required dependent on business needs
