Architect

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects and deadlines, collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, and communicate professionally with clients and contractors. You will mentor and assist with staff development, identify client requirements, and act as the primary contact and communicator. You will also perform quality reviews and detailed code analysis, work within project schedules, and coordinate documentation from the initial design phase through to final project completion.

Your role will include preparing and organizing building plans and construction contracts, as well as enhancing design quality through past experience and coordinating design work.

Responsibilities

* Manage multiple projects and deadlines.

* Collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members, clients, and contractors.

* Mentor and assist with staff development.

* Identify client requirements and act as the primary contact and communicator.

* Perform quality review and detailed code analysis.

* Work within project schedules to prioritize tasks and coordinate documentation.

* Prepare, develop, and organize building plans and construction contracts.

* Enhance design quality using past knowledge and experience.

* Coordinate design work to ensure integrated and cohesive design.

Essential Skills

* 5-9 years of experience.

* Professional or non-professional degree in architecture from an accredited institution.

* Professional Licensure with experience in government projects.

* Strong leadership, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work closely in a team environment.

* Knowledge of building codes, standards, and specifications.

* Experience with clients in K-12, government, or higher education sectors.

* Willingness to perform complex administrative and on-site duties.

* Experience in all aspects of construction projects.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

* Proficiency in Revit with 2+ years of professional Revit production/CD experience.

* Experience in architectural drafting, design development, and construction documents.

* Ability to coordinate consultant work and manage budget and schedule.

* Experience in producing and monitoring project documentation and deliverables.

Work Environment

The position is based in Brentwood, TN, with an office environment that supports a hybrid schedule of three in-office days and two remote days per week. This is an opportunity to work with a top firm in the Midwest, offering a flexible work arrangement based on experience level.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
