Responsibilities- Develop project scope and fee quotation; assist in preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB’s Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA). Lead or actively participate in client contract scoping and negotiations.
- Serve as primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and client satisfaction.
- Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
- Implement the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB’s Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA). Lead development and execution of the project management plan; supervise and mentor the team to project objectives.
- Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession of project staff; develop reporting plans and support performance and compensation reviews.
- Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, building client relationships, and pursuit efforts for mini‑mega and mega projects in accordance with HNTB’s Sophisticated Sales Approach (SSA). Prepare proposal and presentation materials; lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini‑mega, and mega projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
- 2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience working with state Departments of Transportation.
- Experience with transportation public involvement and communications.
- 12+ years of relevant experience.
