Geosyntec Consultants is hiring for a Geotechnical Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist on site near Nashville, TN, supporting Acton, MA operations. The position provides opportunities to apply academic knowledge to real-world projects, including construction quality assurance (CQA) for earthwork, water treatment, instrumentation, and civil/geotechnical construction projects. The role offers growth in technical to business responsibilities through on-site experience.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Monitor activities on job sites to ensure compliance with contract documents (e.g., technical specifications, construction drawings, sampling plans, CQA plans).
- Prepare daily and weekly field reports and progress reports.
- Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy and procedures.
- Conduct geotechnical field investigations.
- Monitor heavy civil construction projects.
- Perform and review engineering calculations.
- Perform dam, levee, and CCR facility inspections and assist with evaluations.
- Develop construction documents; write and review engineering reports.
- Fieldwork:
Up to 90% of time. Overnight travel may be required; project site is local to Nashville with additional opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering, or geology (required).
- Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
- Professional registration (e.g., P.E., P.G.) (preferred).
- At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) of work experience in engineering consulting or equivalent.
- Experience with geotechnical and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Slope/W, and PLAXIS (preferred).
- Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
