Regional Planning Leader – Watersheds & Stormwater

Black & Veatch invites applications for the Regional Planning Leader – Watersheds & Stormwater position. This leadership role focuses on growing stormwater planning and design, water quality, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and green infrastructure practices across the Eastern United States.

• Lead business development efforts in the Eastern United States, identifying and capturing services related to stormwater improvements, nature-based solutions, coastal resilience, flood mitigation, erosion and sediment control, regulatory compliance, scenario planning, and advanced modeling.
• Build and maintain client relationships throughout the target geography to drive business growth.
• Identify professionals and participate in hiring processes in local markets to grow local teams.
• Lead the execution of services listed above and act as Project Manager when required.
• Interface with innovative partners to leverage new technologies and approaches for client benefit.

• 15+ years of water resources planning and design experience.
• Experience strategizing, pursuing, and capturing municipal and utility water resources projects and programs.
• Experience developing and executing planning and water resource projects.
• Ability to manage and lead a team across a significant geography.
• Familiarity with platforms such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA/XP-SWMM, Info Works ICM, EFDC, CFD, ArcGIS, and Asset Management/CMMS systems.
• Experience with regulatory requirements and procedures.
• Drive client‑facing business development efforts.

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program, plus a minimum of 11 years of related work experience.

• P.E. – Registered Professional Engineer
