An established industrial manufacturer in the clean energy sector is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its product engineering team. The company operates in a niche segment of the energy transition space and builds high-volume hardware used in critical infrastructure projects across the U.S. and internationally.
About the RoleYou’ll be part of a small cross‑functional engineering group responsible for the design, validation, and support of power distribution systems. These systems integrate with energy hardware deployed in utility‑scale environments.
Responsibilities- Design and validate low- and medium-voltage AC and DC systems
- Review and release schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings
- Run load calculations and arc‑flash/coordination studies
- Write integration and testing procedures
- Support product cost estimation and quoting processes
- Lead technical reviews and mentor less experienced engineers
- Make design changes based on lab testing and field feedback
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3+ years experience in electrical system design for industrial or energy applications
- Strong understanding of UL, NEC, NFPA 70E, CSA, and IEEE standards
- Background in renewable energy, energy storage, or adjacent fields
- Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Solid Works, Altium (or similar ECAD), and Office 365
- Experience with both single-phase and three-phase AC systems, as well as DC circuits
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and improve product designs
- AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms
- Solid Works for mechanical/electrical integration
- Altium / PADS / P‑CAD or other schematic capture tools
- Excel-based calculations and/or power analysis software
