Join Amazon as a Senior Operations Engineer on the AMZL Process Engineering team. Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is transforming last‑mile delivery worldwide, seeking leaders who can drive breakthrough innovations and improve delivery station design.

In this role you will collaborate with internal and external teams—including engineering, tech, supply chain, finance, safety, and operations—to design cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions for our delivery systems. You will influence senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, manage large initiatives, and advocate for customers while delivering the next‑generation AMZL delivery station.

• Lead idea generation for innovative design/process solutions to existing operational problems
• Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of product features and enhancements for the current and next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations
• Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products
• Own and deliver against plans, providing network reporting, financial approval and leadership approval for all stages of program progression
• Act as a technical expert in the area of ownership, providing technical expertise to other Engineering teams and challenging suppliers and partners
• Own internal process innovations across the Engineering Org, including road‑mapping and planning for a given area of responsibility and ensuring the roadmap is delivered
• Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis; strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Ensure customer satisfaction by following through with requests and ensuring needs are met as accurately and immediately as possible
• Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving operational execution of software enhancements and ensuring software supports the physical design/process innovations
• Travel up to 25% based on business needs

• 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
• Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non‑automated material handling equipment
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)

• Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
• Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineering tools
• Experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes
• 7+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, high‑speed manufacturing systems
• Experience working under pressure in a cross‑functional organization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
