OverviewAs a Commissioning Agent in our Nashville office, you will join a collaborative community where your expertise fuels innovation and your work helps shape a brighter future for all.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement commissioning process delivery plans using Owner’s Project Requirements (OPR), Basis of Design (BOD), plans and specifications, information from users, project partners, field surveys, and code research; resolve commissioning challenges and complete assigned tasks.
- Technical or Associate Degree in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, or architectural design, or construction engineering from an accredited technical institution or college; or commensurate design or construction experience.
- General understanding of building systems across disciplines including fire protection, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing/piping.
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret codes, guidelines, and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
- Experience in computer operation and ability to learn engineering calculation programs, computer-aided drafting/BIM software for accessing and interpreting design requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and state-required vehicle insurance.
- Commissioning certification with a nationally recognized professional body.
- Ability to combine personal judgment with a wide variety of data to implement commissioning criteria.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, including following through with others and giving/receiving constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication with clients and project partners at all levels of the organization.
- Apply safety training to construction situations and maintain safe work environments.
- Ability to use test and measurement equipment and common tools safely.
- Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organization and time management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings.
