Position Overview
Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers) – Jacobs. This role is open at any U.S. location.
Base Pay Range$ - $ per year.

Responsibilities- Perform structural engineering assignments for Data Center projects (new builds, retrofits, colocations, etc.).
- Conduct analysis, create computer models for structures, calculate member designs and foundations, prepare material take‑offs for estimating and miscellaneous calculations.
- Assist with schedules, coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
- Engage with a diverse engineering and design team, liaise with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery.
- Grow technically and professionally, expanding leadership role within the organization.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13 and other industry relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams.
- Ability to travel to various client sites (approximately 10–20% travel).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects (casting, rolling operations or similar heavy industrial projects).
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
