Hours: Up to nine workload hours per semester

• Create syllabus and timeline of classes for students each semester.
• Provide meeting times for students.
• Manage online grading system and submit grades in a timely fashion.
• Abide by all relevant university and department policies.

• Knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the field of study.
• Knowledge of subject matter and course content.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
• Ability to support, instruct, motivate, and evaluate students.
• Skilled in computers, Internet resources, and MS Office.
• Ability to learn Banner Web for student grading.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Effective communication skills verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of Belmont University's programs and services.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

• Master's degree in music required;
  Doctorate preferred.
• Higher education teaching experience preferred.
