• Possess knowledge of principles, methods, and current developments in the academic discipline and professional practice.
• Have knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques suitable for teaching undergraduate, graduate, adult learners, and online courses.
• Be able to create syllabi and effectively deliver course learning objectives.
• Be capable of advising, instructing, managing, motivating, and evaluating students.
• Learn to use relevant sections of my Lipscomb, the university’s online database system.
• Learn to use Blackboard, the university’s Learning Management System.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.
• Interact professionally with students, colleagues, and the public.
